If you’ve been wondering what the best Cincinnati Newborn Photography Color Palettes are for your upcoming photo session, then you are in the right place! Let’s talk about it, friends.
I will always recommend going for either neutrals or pastel colors for your Cincinnati Newborn Photography Color Palettes. These light colors will photograph the best and will give the light and airy feel that matches my style. I love to include some white, too! For instance, some light pink or baby blue with white will look charming and timeless!
Another reason I recommend neutrals is because because neutrals will match everything! they will match what mom and dad wear, they will match your master bedroom, they will match your nursery. They will match everything and will look timeless!
Keep in mind that you know your child! Choose colors that will complement your child’s coloring (skin tone, hair color and eye color) because you want the focus to be on them, not on what they’re wearing.
You also know what your child is comfortable in! I’ve had clients say that their child just hates overalls high necked shirts. Choose soft fabrics as well; avoiding anything scratchy or rough will go a long way toward keeping your little happy.
I’ve also had clients who prefer a certain aesthetic when it comes to choosing things for their children. Some people love peachy pinks for their baby girls, while others prefer to avoid pink altogether! Some people love the look of all white! Some people enjoy a soft feel with vintage details, and yet others enjoy some pops of color! Whatever your aesthetic is, stay true to it so your photos will feel like you and your family’s vibes.
Also keep in mind what you as parents will be wearing! Sometimes, clients find it easier to pick out their own (preferably neutral!) outfits first, then find something for baby that will match. It’s much simpler to buy one coordinating outfit for the baby than it is to find something for every single person in the photos! Of course, if you have a spectacular, special or sentimental outfit that you want to put your baby in, then start there! The rest will come together.
I also recommend keeping in mind where the photo session will take place. Choose colors that compliment your baby’s nursery, the master bedroom, or wherever you want photos to be taken. If your baby’s nursery has soft blue walls, maybe choose an outfit that’s white with touches of blue. Or if your master bedroom is a dreamy lilac color, wear soft creams or beiges with purple or blue touches!
If your baby (especially a newborn) will be in their crib at any point for the photos, coordinating their outfit with the crib sheets looks so adorable!
Here are some of my favorite color palettes! Use these as inspiration or guidance!
If you still want more information, I have a blog post dedicated to style for the whole family. I also send out a style guide in my welcome package for clients! And of course, I am here for you to bounce ideas off of or to provide more guidance.
