I’m thrilled to share another beautiful in-home newborn session from your local Tipp City, Ohio newborn photographer! When Joel and Katelyn reached out about booking an in-home portrait session, I was so excited to work with them. If you’ve been following my journal for a while, you already know that in-home sessions are an absolute favorite of mine. The intimate, familiar setting allows me to capture the pure, raw love between parents and their brand-new baby.

This sweet baby girl, Avery, is Joel and Katelyn’s first child. They actually chose to keep the gender a surprise until the day she was born! Meeting her for the first time—and finally finding out she was a sweet baby girl—was such an incredible moment for this family.

For busy parents, the early weeks with a newborn are a beautiful, whirlwind adjustment. Packing up a diaper bag to travel to a traditional commercial space can feel completely overwhelming. That is why I bring a high-end lifestyle studio experience right to your living room. There is no travel stress, no rushing out the door—just a relaxed environment where you can focus entirely on cuddling your new addition. Avery was so content, and you can see the absolute adoration radiating from her parents’ faces.

Joel and Katelyn had the cutest little outfit picked out for her photo shoot, but she was so tiny that it didn’t quite fit yet! Instead, we tucked her into a gorgeous floral swaddle blanket and a matching bow, which worked beautifully.

During our time together, I made sure to document the sweet details of Avery’s nursery. Parents put so much intentional love and care into designing a baby’s room, and I love capturing those meaningful touches. We even made sure to feature a tiny soccer ball! Joel is a local soccer coach, so integrating a nod to his passion was a must. Can’t you already picture little Avery kicking a ball around at a local park or attending matches with her dad?
