Hi friends! I’m so excited to share this beautiful Cincinnati Family Newborn Photography session with you all! The Mirkin family was an absolute pleasure to work with, and hosting this session in their lovely Anderson Township home made it all the more special.
Combining the magic of a newborn baby with the festive joy of Christmas made for some truly gorgeous family photos. There is nothing quite like the warmth of holiday lights to elevate a newborn session. What a beautiful Christmas gift—the ultimate gift of life!
THE MAGIC OF AN IN-HOME NEWBORN SESSION
In-home photography sessions are a personal favorite of mine for so many reasons. If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know how much I advocate for them! For this particular session, all the magic came together seamlessly in the comfort of this sweet family’s own space. The holiday decorations were up, the tree lights were twinkling, and the entire house felt cozy and filled with anticipation.
Mom and Dad were finally holding their sweet, surprise bundle of joy. Meanwhile, the two older siblings, Eloise and Sam, were loving every single second of having a new tiny family member to dote on. Eloise and Sam already share such a deep bond, and it was beautiful to watch that love instantly overflow onto their new baby sister. Everyone was incredibly comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease in their own element.
CAPTURING THE FLEETING DETAILS
During our time together, we utilized several areas of the home to get a variety of backdrops. We worked in the beautifully curated nursery, the master bedroom, and the living room where the Christmas decorations were on full display.
The master bedroom pictures turned out exceptionally adorable, especially the individual newborn swaddle photos. This was this sweet little one’s chance to shine all on her own! She was completely content and happy wrapped up in her swaddle—either that, or when she was being cradled in her sweet mama’s arms. There really is nothing quite like a baby’s instinctual love for their mother.
We also captured beautiful, timeless details of the family’s home, particularly the thoughtful touches in the nursery. From her tiny outfits to her full head of gorgeous hair, these are the fleeting details that matter most. Years from now, when the kids are grown, these vivid images will bring back all the exact feelings of this sweet season.
That, friends, is truly the best part of my job: being able to capture the authentic essence of your family. I love cementing these magical, fleeting moments so you can hold onto them forever.
