I’m so excited to share this special Oakley Newborn Photography Session with you! Baby Maeve is the most adorable baby, and her session came out so cute.

I love newborn photography, but I especially love in-home newborn photography. Having a newborn is stressful enough, so why add to the stress trying to get everyone ready to leave the house for a photo session? Especially when you can do it in the comfort and safety of your own home.

This session was in Oakley, a suburb of Cincinnati. I typically recommend working in the master bedroom and the nursery because this is where the light and the personality usually are! That’s what we did here! Another perk to in-home sessions is that the family pets are welcome and easy to incorporate. Of course, your new babe is the star, and she will be the focus of the session, no matter where we work or who else is involved.

All in the Details

Maeve’s nursery was decorated so beautifully! You can see all of the details that her mom put into the room, from the floral walls to the perfectly coordinated goldendoodle swaddle blanket that matches her adorable fur siblings. Her mama also had an adorable floral swaddle and a couple other outfits ready for Miss Maeve to have an outfit change. I don’t require this for my families, but I always like to recommend a couple of outfit or swaddle options to add variety to your photos. I’m always happy to incorporate any personal touches you want to include, as well!

All of the colors in the outfits and the setting coordinated so well! They were light, neutral and breezy, but all the floral patterns (and the goldendoodles!) packed a punch and gave a sense of personality. I send out a style guide to my clients with suggestions for what to wear, if you need any help.

I love all of little Maeve’s expressions in her session. Especially her sweet little smile when she was snuggling with her mama. It is also so sweet to see all of the love in this family. Mom and Dad love their little one so much! I love to see it. I always enjoy capturing all of the little details because babies don’t keep! She will never be this little again, so I understand how important capturing every tiny toe and facial expression is!
