Newborn Photography for Montgomery's Cherished Families

There is something quietly special about Montgomery, Ohio. One of Cincinnati's oldest communities — it carries a sense of history and rootedness that you simply don't find everywhere. From the brick-paved sidewalks and gas-lit streets of the Montgomery Heritage District to the tree-lined neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and top-rated Sycamore Schools, Montgomery is a place where families genuinely treasure where they live.
And families who treasure where they live tend to treasure the moments that happen there too.
As a Montgomery newborn photographer, I've had the privilege of documenting several Montgomery families in their beautiful homes and in my Cincinnati lifestyle studio — and every single time, I'm struck by how much intention these families bring to the way they live and the way they want to remember this season. They want more than snapshots. They want heirloom artwork that honors this moment the way Montgomery honors its history — with care, intention, and a deep sense of meaning.
That's exactly what I'm here to create for you.
Montgomery families are accomplished, intentional, and busy. Between careers, community involvement, Sycamore School activities, and the beautiful but exhausting early weeks with a new baby, the last thing you need is one more decision to manage or one more project to coordinate. That's why I've built my entire experience around taking everything completely off your plate — from the very first email to the moment your finished artwork arrives at your door.
As a mama myself I understand this season of life from the inside out. I know how fast it moves. I know how much you want to hold onto it. And I know that the families I photograph in Montgomery aren't just looking for nice photos — they're looking for something to pass down. Something that will hang on the wall of that beautiful home and stop your heart every time you walk past it for the next twenty years. That's what I create.

Montgomery Newborn Photographer

From the moment you reach out, I handle every detail so you never have to wonder what comes next.
Step 1 — Reach Out During Your Second Trimester
Newborn sessions are best photographed in the first 5 to 14 days of life — which means I need your due date on my calendar well in advance. Montgomery is a sought-after community and my calendar reflects that. I recommend reaching out as soon as you have a due date so we can hold your spot before baby arrives.
Step 2 — Pre-Session Planning
Before your session I send a detailed planning guide covering everything from what to wear to what to expect on the day. Not sure which session type is right for you — studio or in-home? I'll help you decide. Unsure what to wear? I'll walk you through that too. Part of my job is making sure every single decision feels easy and taken care of well before session day arrives.
Step 3 — Your Session Day
You show up. I handle everything else. Sessions are completely baby-led and unhurried — we build in plenty of time for feeding, soothing, outfit changes, and all the beautiful in-between moments that make newborn sessions so special. There is never any pressure or rushing. Montgomery families consistently tell me the session felt like one of the most peaceful mornings of their entire newborn period — and that is exactly what I aim to create for every single family.
Step 4 — Your Gallery and Heirloom Artwork
Within a few weeks of your session your gallery will be ready. I then guide you through a personalized design consultation where we create custom framing, gallery walls, and heirloom albums designed specifically for your Montgomery home. This is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the whole process — watching a family see their images for the first time and realizing what we created together is something they'll treasure for the rest of their lives.

WHY MONTGOMERY FAMILIES CHOOSE PEURA PHOTOGRAPHY

Timeless Photography Experiences From Pregnancy Through Newborn

Every Montgomery family is different — and your newborn session should reflect that. That's why I offer both studio and in-home newborn photography, giving you the flexibility to choose the experience that feels most like you.
Studio Newborn Photography
My Cincinnati lifestyle studio is designed to feel like a beautifully curated home — warm, naturally lit, and completely calm. It's the perfect setting for Montgomery families who love a clean, timeless aesthetic and want to arrive somewhere where every single detail is already prepared and waiting for them. No packing, no setting up, no decisions to make — just you, your new baby, and a completely unhurried morning together. My studio is a short, easy drive from Montgomery and many of my Montgomery clients tell me the drive itself felt like a welcome excuse to get out of the house during those early postpartum weeks.
In-Home Newborn Photography
For Montgomery families who want to stay close to home in those tender early weeks, in-home newborn photography is a deeply meaningful option. Montgomery homes have a character all their own — whether you're in a beautifully preserved historic home near the Heritage District, a stately traditional home on one of those gorgeous tree-lined streets, or a more contemporary property — I know how to find the most beautiful light in any space and create images that feel authentically, uniquely yours.
There is no need to clean, stage, or stress about your home. I come to you, I work with what makes your space special, and I create images that couldn't have been made anywhere else. The nursery you spent months putting together. The morning light through your living room windows. The worn-in chair where you've spent every late-night feeding. These details make your images irreplaceable — and they are the reason so many Montgomery families choose to stay home.
Not Sure Which Option is Right for You?
That's completely okay — figuring this out together is part of what I do. During our planning process I'll ask about your home, your style, and your vision and help you choose the experience that fits your family perfectly.

I recommend reaching out during your second trimester. Newborn sessions are best photographed in the first 5 to 14 days of life when babies are still sleepy and curly — which means I need to have your due date on my calendar well in advance. Because I keep my calendar intentionally small to give every family my full attention, early booking is important especially in peak seasons.

When should I book my Montgomery newborn session?

Absolutely. I regularly photograph families in their Montgomery homes and genuinely love working in this community. Whether your home is a historic gem near the Heritage District or a more modern property, I know how to find beautiful light and create stunning images in any space.

Do you come to Montgomery for in-home sessions?

Please don't let this stop you from booking. You do not need a perfectly decorated or staged home — you just need your family. Finding the most beautiful corner of any home is part of my job, and my lifestyle studio is always a wonderful alternative if you'd prefer a guaranteed beautiful setting without any uncertainty.

What if my home doesn't feel camera-ready?

Sessions typically run between one and two hours. This gives us plenty of unhurried time for feeding breaks, outfit changes, parent and sibling portraits, and all the small details that make newborn images so special. We never rush.

How long will our session take?

Absolutely — and I always encourage it. Some of the most treasured images from any newborn session are the ones of the whole family together. Siblings, parents, and even grandparents are always welcome.

Do you include parents and siblings in the session?

This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. My approach is entirely baby-led — we simply pause when baby needs to eat, be rocked, or have a diaper change. Awake and alert babies make for beautiful, expressive portraits too. We always have plenty of time built in for exactly this.

What if my baby is fussy or won't settle?

After your session I guide you through a personalized artwork design consultation. Together we'll design custom gallery walls, heirloom albums, and framed portraits that become a beautiful, lasting part of your Montgomery home — artwork worthy of the community and the family that commissioned it.

What happens to my images after the session?

Every Montgomery family I've asked this question years after their session has said the same thing — it was one of the best investments they made during that season. The newborn stage lasts less than two weeks. The photos last a lifetime. I truly believe that documenting this moment with intention and care is one of the most meaningful things you can do for your family.

Is newborn photography worth the investment?

WHY HEIRLOOM ARTWORK MATTERS

Montgomery is a community that values things built to last — historic homes, established neighborhoods, deep community roots. The families I photograph here share that same sensibility. They're not looking for digital files that live on a hard drive and never get seen. They want something real. Something tangible. Something that becomes part of the fabric of their home and their family's story.
That's why every Peura Photography experience is designed around heirloom artwork from the very beginning. Custom framed gallery walls. Handcrafted heirloom albums. Individual portraits printed on fine art paper and designed to last generations. These are not just photos — they are the visual legacy of your family's most meaningful moments, created with the same care and intention that Montgomery families bring to every part of their lives.
When your children are grown and they walk through your home, they will stop at those photos on the wall. They will ask about that tiny baby in the image. They will know — in a way that no digital file could ever communicate — that they were loved, cherished, and celebrated from the very first day. That is what I create for every Montgomery family I photograph. And I would be so honored to create it for yours.
