I’m so excited to share this Miamisburg Family Photography Session with you today! The Levine family was so delightful to work with and we all had a blast!
The Levines wanted family photos for their annual Christmas card, but we shifted gears!
This was a shorter than usual session due to the weather not being well suited for a 5 month old. But it’s perfect proof that we don’t need a lot of time to get great pictures! Caitlin, Ben and Baby Julian brought along their sweet English Bulldog, Kenny. It was quite chilly and windy during this session, but we made it work. We got all of the pictures we needed in ten minutes! We took a short break to let baby Julian warm up in the car, then tried again for round two. When they brought him back out, Julian was over it, so we just got a couple of pictures with him all bundled up (which came out adorable).
We also got some great shots of the family with Kenny! The Levines wanted at least a couple of photos to include Kenny, so they followed my recommendation and brought along help for the dog! Ben’s sister came along to help corral Kenny, and then took him back to the car when we got the pictures. I always recommend this because as much as you love your furry friends, they can be a handful- especially when you’ve got your children to corral too! So help with dogs is always a good idea!
The Levines also dressed according to my style guide that I send out before each session to help my clients come prepared and dressed to the nines! Their outfits coordinate beautifully, but aren’t distracting. And even Kenny’s scarf matches! I love good coordinating outfits, especially around Christmas time. I have a style guide blog post you can check out here, too!
All in all, looking at these pictures, you would never know that this was a very mini session on a very cold day! But that’s my job- work with the circumstances and get you plenty of beautiful family photos! We will make it work, no matter what. This is a great reminder that the session doesn’t need to go perfectly smoothly in order to get good pictures. So no pressure!
I’m so thankful to the Levine family for pushing through the weather and for trusting me to capture their family photos. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek into this delightful photo session.
I would love to work with you, too! Reach out to me here to get started.
Talk soon, Janelle
