Hi friends! I’m so excited to share this Cincinnati Family Newborn Photography session with you all! The Mirkin family were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Combining the magic of a newborn baby with the magic of Christmas made for some gorgeous family photos! And what a beautiful Christmas gift- the gift of life!

Cincinnati Family Newborn Photography Session

In-home photography sessions are a favorite of mine for a few reasons. If you’ve been around for a while, I’m sure you can name a few! But for this particular Cincinnati Family Newborn Photography session, all the magic came together in this sweet family’s home. The decorations were up, the lights were twinkling. Mom and Dad were finally holding their sweet, surprise of a child. The two older siblings, Eloise and Sam, were loving every second of having a new tiny family member. Eloise and Sam love each other and you can tell from their interactions with the new baby that that love is going to be bestowed upon the new arrival too! And everyone was comfortable and at ease in their own space.

The Most Magical Moments of the Year

We worked in the nursery, in the master bedroom, as well as in the living room where the Christmas decorations were on full display. The master bedroom pictures in particular came out adorably, due to the individual newborn swaddle photos. This was little one’s chance to shine all on her own! She was so happy in the swaddle. Either that, or when she was held by her sweet mama. (There’s nothing like a baby’s instinctual love for their mama, am I right?!)

We were able to capture some beautiful details of the family’s home, especially in the nursery. As well as a couple of photos of sweet Baby Mirkin in her adorable outfit! What a beautiful baby! Do you see how much hair she has, too? All of these details make for beautiful photos because the details will help you to remember these sweet times in vivid detail later when your children are older or grown.

And that, friends, is the best part of my job: being able to capture the essence of you and your family. Being able to cement every detail of these magical but fleeting moments of your child’s lives so that they will be with you forever- especially when life gifts you with the most unexpected magic.
