The Lampert Family reached out to me for a Ft. Thomas family Photography shoot, and I just loved working with them! A mini session is a great option for large families, or families with rambunctious children because it’s speedy! We cram a lot into a short period of time. And you may find that a shorter session is more realistic for you family.
The Lamperts wanted to get some pictures to use for their annual family Christmas card, as well as updating their family photos. This entire family was so sweet and it was a pleasure to work with them. They made it easy for me, as the photographer, to get some amazing photos of the six of them. We were lucky to have a beautiful, warm fall Sunday afternoon for this session, too.
Jenna and Adam have four beautiful children; Lance (9), Emmy (7), Millie (3), and Leo (1). Each of their kids have such distinct personalities and I loved getting to see it come out during their session.
Lance was a great helper, keeping everyone in line! Emmy was silly and playful, and was in her own lovely little world. Millie was wild and free, and an absolute joy to see. She made sure she had fun at all times! Leo was the most cautious of them all, but that’s to be expected for a little one with so much going on! Still, his sensitive heart was on display when he was with his family.
We used one of my all time favorite prompts for this session- the run and hug! Mom and Dad stand across the room from their littles, and on the count of three, they all run to their parents for a bug hug! You may notice that Leo wasn’t into this particular bit, he just wanted to do his own thing. But we were still able to get some great photos using this prompt, especially of the sisters! They were so sweet together.
An important thing to remember for family photography sessions (especially mini sessions) is that we just go with the flow! It doesn’t need to be perfect or structured to be successful. Kids will be kids, and it may be chaotic but that’s perfectly fine! I take hundreds of photos during a session to ensure that I’m able to capture beautiful, candid moments for your family. So, rest assured that even if a session feels chaotic or doesn’t go according to “plan,” the pictures will be amazing! And best of all, they’ll be a reflection of your perfect, individual family.
I hope you enjoy this look into the Lampert family’s Dayton Family Mini Session Photography shoot.
